Mr. Nik Sharma
Exclusive Knee Specialist SurgeonMr Nik Sharma is a specialist Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of knee conditions. His expertise includes sports knee injuries, complex ligament reconstruction, meniscal and cartilage surgery, patellofemoral disorders, joint preservation and knee replacement surgery.
His practice is centred on preserving the natural knee wherever possible, combining accurate diagnosis with evidence-based treatment and personalised rehabilitation. He treats patients across the full spectrum of knee problems — from athletes and active individuals with sports injuries to patients experiencing pain and loss of function from knee arthritis.
Mr Sharma completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the Oswestry & Stoke rotation before undertaking the Wrightington Sports Knee Fellowship, developing advanced expertise in sports knee surgery, ligament reconstruction and joint preservation. He subsequently gained further international experience working with leading knee specialists in Canada and France.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Sharma is actively involved in orthopaedic research, education and surgical training, with contributions through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international meetings.
Mr Sharma believes that successful treatment begins with understanding the individual patient. Knee problems can affect far more than movement alone — they can limit sport, work, independence and everyday life. Whether helping an athlete return to competition, enabling an active patient to preserve their natural knee, or guiding someone through knee replacement surgery, his aim is to provide clear advice, personalised treatment and the highest standard of specialist knee care.
